Summer is Japan starts from as early as April – September in the south. In August, many prefectures celebrate summer with a huge fireworks festival. The fireworks are beautiful with the Japanese mostly dressed up in yugata. The festival comes with lots of funfair stores with games & food.

Sakura was in full bloom when I was in Japan in the early spring (beginning of April). Kyoto was very Japanese with the red roof temples. Love the place.
